C301 welding wire is suitable for welding hot-working tools, as it is also resistant to thermal shocks. The weld has a martensitic structure with carbides and retained austenite. The welds are highly wear-resistant and resistant to adhesion. It can also be used for hardfacing wear-resistant layers on alloyed or low-alloy steels.
