The company was founded in 2002 as a support center primarily for the tooling industry, as well as for other sectors in the field of repairing damaged machine components through welding.
Our core activities include: arc welding, laser welding, plasma surfacing, metallurgical testing in the laboratory, heat treatment, production of laser welding wires, research and development, and training.
The company has implemented a quality system ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
The metallurgical laboratory offers the following tests:
- Macroscopic examination of welds
- Charpy impact test
- Bend test
- Fracture test
- Vickers hardness test
- Transverse tensile test
- Penetrant testing
- Microscopy (grain size, microcracks, ferrite content, etc.)
- Microhardness testing
Arc welding and flame welding are provided with high-quality equipment and skilled welders. We specialize in welding tool steels but also weld other demanding materials. We weld church bells, non-ferrous metals, gray cast iron, modular cast iron, and even titanium. Arc welding processes were complemented with laser welding at the end of 2003. The quality of laser welding and other processes has been enhanced with the help of our in-house metallurgical laboratory.
Laser welding offers several advantages over other welding methods. The quality of laser welding has guided our choice of laser equipment. We now provide laser welding on ten machines. All laser beam sources are of German or Swiss origin from leading laser manufacturers. The high price of these machines is justified by the types of laser beam settings, which allow welding of the most demanding materials. The German-made control device provides flexibility, top precision, and automation capabilities. At the same time, we are not limited by the weight or size of the workpiece.
Our metallurgical laboratory is equipped with devices from world-renowned manufacturers and offers a range of services in destructive and non-destructive testing. Laboratory services allow us to control the quality of laser welds. Since market-available wires could not meet the needs for laser welding various materials, we started producing our own laser welding wires.
Laser welding wires are produced in diameters from 0.2 mm to 1 mm. We offer a wide selection of materials, from tool steels and stainless steels to aluminum, bronze, and more. Wires are available in coils or straight rods.
Training and consulting in welding are offered at our training facility or at the client’s location. We provide informal training for all welding processes and all skill levels.
Research is conducted in various fields. In TIG welding of tool steels, research focuses on extending tool life and improving properties of welded components compared to the base material. Laser welding research aims to further improve this technology. Research on welding wires is ongoing to offer the widest range of filler materials.
The company is located in Ljubljana, with a branch in Maribor providing laser welding, other arc welding processes, and heat treatment.
