Purpose

C353 welding wire is a wire whose welds have a ferritic-martensitic structure with 17% Cr content. They are resistant to scaling up to 900 °C. The welds are resistant to abrasion, adhesion, cavitation, and combinations of these mechanisms. The welds are also corrosion-resistant in saltwater. It is used for welding identical or similar steels, surgical instruments, pumps and compressors, and plastic injection tools.
