Purpose
1.2343, 1.2344, Maraging steels

A702 welding wire is a maraging wire. After welding, it has a hardness of around 33 HRC and is easy to machine. After aging (3–4 hours at 480 °C), it can reach a hardness of 50–54 HRC. It is used for welding maraging steels and tools for hot and cold work. After aging, the welds have high toughness and good resistance to thermal shocks.
