Integrated Building Composite with Artificial Intelligence

Operation title: Integrated Building Composite with Artificial Intelligence – AIPAN (Artificial Intelligence Panel)

Operation description:

The AIPAN project aims to develop innovative building components (pavements) whose key advantage will be a significantly simplified and time-efficient method of laying compared to the existing “wet” technique, and to integrate them into the smart home concept. The objectives of the project are to reduce the final cost of flooring, to ensure the faster installation of flooring, to develop an advanced and affordable capacitive sensor for the micro-localisation of people in buildings, to develop artificial intelligence for micro-localised underfloor heating and to set up a demonstration line for AIPAN panels. The project will result in a prefabricated AIPAN composite panel that can be installed in two days, from floor preparation and waterproofing to the final flooring layer for a single-storey ground-floor house! The panel will also include revolutionary capacitance-based technology to “sense” the micro-location of people. The project will demonstrate and take key steps towards a global market for a range of previously developed partial high-tech solutions, which the consortium partners in the AIPAN project have brought together to form an integrated breakthrough solution. The operation started on 01/10/2019 and will run until 31/05/2022. The co-financing of the entire operation amounts to EUR 4,924,519.90.
